It is that time again for Nigerian sports fanatics to nominate their favourite Nigerian sportsman/ sportswoman for the annual Nigerian Sports Awards.
The chairman of the Nigerian Sports Awards committee, Mr. Ikeddy Isiguzo said to journalists on Tuesday that awards will be given only to the sportsperson with an exceptional performance.
“This is a very important aspect of the entire process,” Isiguzo said, pointing out that except an athlete or a team were nominated, no matter the exploit of such an athlete, the committee cannot, on its own reward such performances with an award. That is why I urge you, indeed, all Nigerians to nominate sportsmen and women of their choice for each category. Categories where there is no excellent performance, there will be no awards,” he declared.
