Omari Hardwick’s Early Life
Omari Latif Hardwick was born on the 9th of January 1974 in Savannah, Georgia. His first name, Omari, stands for most high. His middle name, Latif, stands for gentle.
Hardwick attended Marist school in Atlanta, Georgia where he excelled in several sporting activities. He was so good in football that he received offers of scholarships from several colleges. He chose the Furman University, South Carolina where he played as a defensive back. Latif spent a year at Furman before transferring to the University Of Georgia Athens (UGA) from where he graduated in 1996.
Upon graduation, Omari Hardwick tried getting into the NFL but his career was cut short by a knee injury. When his football dreams shattered, Hardwick (who always had a flair for poetry and theatre) found himself wondering what to do with his life. With some divine guidance, he decided to delve into acting.
