Paul Morton Jr. hails from a family of clergymen and he was born on the 29th of March 1981, to the famous gospel musician Paul S. Morton and Dr. Debra Brown Morton at New Orleans, Louisiana. He has 2 siblings named Jasmine and Christian but not much is known about them. Morton was a student of St. Augustine High School and he later enrolled in Morehouse College where he earned a degree in Marketing, graduating in 2003.
At an early age, PJ largely influenced by his musician family especially his father, picked interest in music by learning musical instruments like the keyboard and singing in their church choir.
