Rachel McAdams is a talented Canadian actress, she has appeared in over 30 movies and television productions in her so far short career in Hollywood. Some of her most notable appearances are in The Time Traveler’s Wife (2009), Sherlock Holmes (2009), Spotlight (2015), and Doctor Strange (2016).
The hard-working multiple award-winning United States green card holder is also a humanitarian and an environmentalist. Early Life and Education
McAdams was born Rachel Anne McAdams, the eldest of three children to Sandra (nee Gale) and Lance McAdams, on the 17th of November, 1978 in Ontario, Canada. Her mother was a nurse while her father worked as a truck driver. She is of English, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh ancestry and was raised in a Protestant household.
As a child, McAdams fell in love with figure skating. She was noted for her ability in the sports but however did not try to pursue a career in it and only competed in regional competitions, of which she won a handful of them. She also notably competed for her schools in other sports like volleyball, badminton, and soccer. For her elementary education, McAdams attended Myrtle Street Public School and then Central Elgin Collegiate Institute, a public secondary school in St Thomas, Ontario where she was raised.
During the summer holidays, her parents enrolled her in summer camps by Disney and Shakespeare where she began to develop an interest in acting. By the time she was 12, she began participating in the London, Ontario Original Kids Theatre Company productions. She also went on to star in a number of her school stage productions, notably winning a high school students drama festival award. As a teenager, Rachel lent a hand to the children’s theatre and directed a number of productions.
Rachel McAdams had initially opted to attend the University of Western Ontario to study something related to cultures. She was however discouraged by one of her drama teachers to instead take acting serious and pursue a career in it, prompting her to enroll at York University where she graduated in 2001 with an honors Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.

It is not clear when exactly the pair began dating as McAdams is known for keeping details about her personal life a secret. The first time the pair were spotted together in public was in 2016 when they were pictured walking in Paris to enter the famous Louvre art museum. McAdams was in France to show support to her man who had a movie that was appearing at that year’s Cannes Film Festival.
On April 10, 2018, it was reported widely that the Oscar-nominated actress and her screenwriter beau welcomed their first child, a boy. No other details have been revealed as McAdams never confirmed her pregnancy to the public but was however pictured pregnant and has since given birth, been pictured with the newborn child.

Jamie Linden is the man most people regard as the actress’ husband. He was born in Winter Park, Florida on the 3rd of September, 1980. He attended the same high school as actor Scott Porter, Lake Howell High School, before enrolling at Florida State University where he studied marketing and media production, graduating in 2001.
Upon graduation, Linden visited Hollywood and was a guest on The Price is Right game show where he won $5,000 among other gifts. He reportedly called it a sign for him to remain in the city so he found work reading film screenplays. After getting fired from a number of jobs, Linden opted to write his own scripts and was almost soon after hired by Warner Bros. Linden read the story about the Marshall University football team that died in a plane crash in 1970 and subsequently wrote about it; the script led to the We Are Marshall (2006) biopic.
Some of the other scripts he has written are Dear John (2010), which he made his directorial debut in, Money Monster (2016), and Chaos Walking (2019). He has so far worked with heavyweight Hollywood actors like George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, and Julia Roberts.
