Rakim’s Biography and Age
Rakim was born as William Micheal Griffin Jr on January 28, 1968, in Wyandanch, New York. He had a troubled childhood, he survived on the streets and has been an inmate on different occasions. When it comes to crime, his family is notorious, his father was imprisoned for a long time but later died while his older brother was shot dead on the street during one of his drug deals.
As a teen, Rakim lived an awful life, he sold drugs in order to fend for his family, nevertheless, after his older brother’s death, he turned a new leaf. Despite the bad influence, he learned from his older brother and father as he respected the two. Records have it that he learned how to compose messages from his brother and he also got inspired to be a rapper after his death.
