What Ramsey Nouah’s Early Days Were Like

Ramsey Nouah was born on the 19th of December 1970. This makes him 53 years old at the moment. The veteran movie star was born in the city of Lagos, Nigeria. He was born in the Costain area of Lagos but later moved to Surulere. It was in Surulere that he grew up with his mother before he ventured into making movies.

Many fans have asked whether or not the actor has any siblings with whom he spent his childhood. It is noteworthy that there are no records of any direct siblings linked to Ramsey Nouah. However, in a 2018 interview with The PUNCH, he explained that he grew up with a half-brother and his mother in Lagos.

Nouah Is Bi-racial

One interesting fact about Ramsey Nouah is that he is actually bi-racial. This is because he was born to a Nigerian mother and a non-Nigerian father. The movie star was born to a father called Ramsey Nouah Sr. who happens to be a Lebanese-Israeli man. His mother on the other hand hails from the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State in Nigeria.

It is safe to say that Ramsey Nouah’s biracial background explains his famously light-complexioned looks as he must have gotten his skin tone from his father.

His Father Left Him When He Was Very Little

Unfortunately, Ramsey Nouah’s Lebanese-Israeli father did not stay too long in his life. In fact, Nouah did not grow up with a father figure by his side because his dad left him and his mother when he was still a little child.

In 2008, Ramsey Nouah sat down to be interviewed by BellaNaija and spoke about his childhood. He revealed that his father was around until he was about 2 years old then the man left. According to Nouah, his father left when he and his mother got separated. Since then, he has not seen his father again.

In 2014, Ramsey Nouah spoke about his father again in an interview he had with SaharaTV. In this interview, he revealed that he would not be able to recognize his father if he saw the man on the road because it’s been so long since he left him and his mother on their own. He also explained that he does not even want to have anything to do with man and does not want to recognize him as a matter of fact.

During the interview, he was shown some photos of persons alleged to be his siblings and was asked if he recognized the faces he saw. However, Nouah dismissed the photos as those of unknown persons to him. He also revealed, in the interview, that his mother never told him of any siblings from his father’s side.

What It Was Like Growing Up With A Single Mother

In his 2008 interview with BellaNaija, Ramsey Nouah revealed that his mother is a very tough and strong woman who taught him vital life lessons like being respectful. She also taught him to be strong and learn to stand out as a man.

According to him, he was not a spoilt child while he was growing up under his mother’s guidance. This was because of how she handled him with an iron hand. In a nutshell, he explained that he learned to live life in a very hard way from a tough woman.

Ramsey Nouah has also talked about how he and his mother had to endure hard days while he was growing up, especially because his mother found it quite hard as a single mum to raise her child and keep things going. In his interview with The PUNCH, Nouah explained that he was born with a silver spoon but that everything changed soon after he was born and their wealth went to zero after his father left. This put his mother and himself in a very rough situation. But, in the end, being a strong woman, she managed to raise him and make it through those days of lack.

In the end, this dream never materialized for Ramsey Nouah.

He Also Tried To Do Music

Ramsey Nouah also revealed that apart from dreaming about being a pilot, he also admired musicians and actually tried to do music. In 2020, he had an interview with Boombuzz Global, where he made this revelation.
