Rita Ora is a British actress, singer, and songwriter whose rise to fame was triggered by her appearance in the music video of DJ Fresh’s Hot Right Now; a single that peaked at number one in the UK chart. In August of 2012, the singer debuted a studio album, Ora, which went on to make her the artist with the most No. 1 singles in the UK Single Chart in 2012. Rita Sahatçiu Ora was born in Pristina, Kosovo on November 26, 1990, as the second child of her parents’ three children. She has an older sister named Elena and a younger brother called Don. Her surname is said to be derived from the Turkish word “saatçi”, meaning “watchmaker” but her family decided to make it easier to pronounce by adding Ora. She grew up in Notting Hill, in West London where she had her early education.
