The actor started his career when he was only six years old and let’s be real, a six-year-old kid cannot really make decisions on their own so he must have been influenced by his parents. He made his first film appearance in 1990 with a small role in the American Teen Drama series, Beverly Hills, 90210. Although it was a small role, this role no doubts paved the way for other opportunities in his life. Later in the same year, he played the role of Harvey in Kindergarten Cop and Travis in Who’s the Boss. In 1991, he scored four different acting roles in Eve of Destruction, Late for Dinner, Roseanne, and Davis Rules.

The roles kept coming in as Ross Malinger kept getting part after part in different movies. In 1997, he starred as Bobby Jameson in Disney’s Toothless. In the same year, he was Payton in Little Bigfoot, Adam Lippman in Seinfeld, and Doug Naughton Jr. in Suddenly Susan. Some of his other popular movies include Party of Five (1998), The Simple Life (1998), Club Vampire (1998), Family Law (1999), and Personally Yours (2000). Although he is a very private guy who typically stays away from the media, it was reported that Ross Malinger was getting a divorce. He had been married for about 8 years to a woman called Kelsey Malinger (neé Willemsen). Sadly, in July 2019, TMZ reported that Kelsey had filed for divorce from Malinger without the help of a lawyer. The reasons for the divorce are still unknown to the public, however, we do know that Kelsey is asking for spousal support and wants the judge to decide who gets custody of the family dogs, Lucy and Gia.

3. He Has Played as Tom Hanks’ Son

Well not in reality of course but on TV in the 1993 American romantic comedy, Sleepless in Seattle directed by Nora Ephron. Ross Malinger played the role of Jonah, the cute little son of Tom Hanks (Sam) that helped him find true love in Meg Ryan (Annie). The movie was released in 1993 and was a commercial success, grossing over $227 million at the global box office. The movie also featured other actors such as Victor Garner, Bill Pullman, and Rita Wilson.

4. He Is Also A Voice Actor

Turns out during his years in the acting field, he was more than just a screen actor. He was also a voice actor. He was the original voice of T. J Detweiler in the animated series, Recess. In a later season, he was replaced by Andrew Lawrence. More so, he also provided a voice for the character of Tom Sawyer in The Animated Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

Ross Malinger was born into a family of professionals. His father Brian Malinger works both as a producer and a sales representative while his mother, Laura Malinger is a producer.
