Rupert Murdoch’s Biography
The prominent media tycoon was born, Keith Rupert Murdoch on 11th March 1931 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He is one of the four children born to Dame Elizabeth Greene and Sir Keith Murdoch with the names of his other siblings as follows; Anne Kantor, Janet Calvert-Jones and Helen Handbury. Rupert Murdoch completed his high school in 1949 from Geelong Grammar School, Geelong, Victoria, Australia. While in high school, he was the associate editor of the school’s magazine, The Corian and the editor of the student magazine, If Revived.
He also guided their cricket team to the National Junior Finals. At the same time, he was tutored by his father on how to take over their publishing business, working as part-time at the Melbourne Herald. He then headed to Oxford, England for higher education and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Worcester College, Oxford, England.
