Sam Sorbo is an actress who has garnered a portfolio big enough to rival some of the more established names in the entertainment industry. She is famous for portraying the character of Serena in the 1996 TV series, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Besides acting, Sam is also a movie creator and producer with her production credits including Miracle In East Texas, The Legend of Catclaws Mountain, Israel, My Beloved and many others. She is also popularly known as the wife of the renowned actor, Kevin Sorbo.

The award-winning actress was born as Sandra Lynn Jenkins on 18th October 1966 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The identities of her parents and siblings are yet unknown as the adroit actress has not disclosed such details on the media. Following the completion of her high school education in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she enrolled at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina and graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

Sam Sorbo ventured into modeling immediately after her graduation from college and became quite successful. She travelled around the world for modeling jobs during such time. The multi-talented actress then relocated to Los Angeles to kickstart her acting career. She made her television debut by appearing as Georgette in an episode of the 1987 TV series, Napoleon and Josephine: A Love Story.

From 1987 to 1990, Sam Sorbo made cameo appearances in two television series by featuring in an episode of Blue Blood (1989) as Tuesday, and in an episode of Glory Days (1990) as Sherry. She also made her motion picture debut when she was cast as Fox’s Assistant in the 1990 movie, The Bonfire of the Vanities. She portrayed a Hooker in the 1991 movie, Night of the Warrior. Sam Sorbo got acquainted with her now-husband, Kevin Sorbo on the set of the 1996 TV series, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. Soon after, they began a relationship which reached a new height when Kevin proposed to Sam six months later. They went down the aisle in Little Chapel on 5th January 1998. The union is blessed with three children; two sons, Braeden Cooper Sorbo (born on 22nd August 2001 in Henderson, Nevada), Shane Haaken Sorbo (born on 16th March 2004), and a daughter, Octavia Flynn Sorbo (born on 16th October 2005).

Prior to their wedding, Kevin Sorbo suffered aneurysm which caused him a stroke with migraines, impaired balance and 10% vision loss a few days after their engagement. Fortunately, he was miraculously healed before their wedding.

Sam Sorbo is in support of homeschooling children in order to inculcate moral virtues in them as she homeschooled her three children. She is also the chairperson and spokesman of a non-profit organization, A World Fit For Kids that teaches teenagers to be role models of younger children.

Kevin Sorbo’s wife is an accomplished writer who has written and published many books.
