Steelo Brim is an American TV personality, host, as well as an actor who is famous for being the co-host of the MTV comedy show, Ridiculousness. Asides his work on the show, Steelo Brim has also appeared on a number of films and TV series; perhaps most popular among them is the American sports comedy-drama film Hardball, in which he played the role of Sterling. More so, he is famous for his appearance in the reality TV series, Fantasy Factory.

Steelo Brim was born Sterling “Steelo” Brim in Illinois, Chicago, on June 5, 1988, to Tracy and Frank Brim. Sources revealed that his father is a Chicago Fire Department Battalion Chief and even started a baseball team on the west side of Chicago through Garfield Park. While his mother is a clergywoman. Together with his siblings ― including a sister, Brim was raised in Chicago and attended Whitney Young High School. Following his graduation from high school, Brim proceeded to enroll in the Morgan State University in Baltimore.
In 2007, at age nineteen, Brim took his first step in the pursuit of his dreams; leaving Chicago and moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. Like every newbie, he had a whole lot to grapple with, including basic necessities like shelter. He reportedly shared an apartment with the popular actor Michael B. Jordan.
