Studytracks may have come too late for some of us but we can still applaud an innovation that we have waited for practically all our lives; students can now sing their way to an A.
Turning academic concepts into catchy songs is the basic idea behind Studytracks. The platform will lace those difficult, easy to forget concepts with an amazing beat and allow you jam to them.
It’s a study experience like never before. For everyone who has ever lamented about how they can retain millions of tunes but cannot seem to apply that same dexterity to school books and academic material, this will probably seem revolutionary.
Studytracks looks set to revolutionize exam preparation by not only boosting recollection and retention of material using music but also giving students the option of studying just about anywhere; they just need to plug into their material with an earphone.
How does Studytracks Work?
Well, the platform has an app that is available for both Android and Apple devices. The platform or app merges music with study materials, creating lyrics or “hooks” relating to a specific exam theme or topic.
The platform works on the premise of several scientific studies that have shown that music stimulates our brain, our long-term memory and affects how we feel and can also increase concentration.
Founder and CEO of Studytracks, George Hammond-Hagan, explains further;
“You listen to a song and you remember the lyrics for years… without even trying. Then, out of the blue, that song gets stuck in your head and you can recall ALL the lyrics – what if you could control that?”
The platform was just nominated for the ‘Startup of the Year’ award at the Education Resources awards and it was a finalist at the 2017 Bett awards. It currently has over 30 thousand students using the service.
Right now, over 400 thousand tracks are available pooled from the subjects currently available that include;
