Tawny Kitaen is an American actress, model and TV personality who held sway in the 80s. At the height of her career, she starred in several movies and TV series with one of the most popular being the raunchy comedy, Bachelor Party, which featured Tom Hanks. Who is Tawny Kitaen and What is Her Age?
Tawny Kitaen’s given name at birth is Julie E. Kitaen. She assumed the nickname Tawny when she was just 12. Kitaen was born on the 5th of August 1961 in San Diego California. Her father’s name was Terry Kitaen while her mother’s name was Linda. The actress is the eldest of three children which comprised of a younger brother and a younger sister.
She spent her formative years in San Diego where she attended Mission Bay High School. Tawny, however, dropped out as a teenager (some sources say that she eventually returned to finish high school and also obtained a college degree).
On dropping out of school, Kitaen earnestly pursued a career in showbiz, landing small acting and modeling gigs. She got her first movie role in 1983 in the made-for-TV movie, Malibu. Kitaen got her first big break a year later in 1984. That year, she starred in the comedy, Bachelor Party. The movie featured Tom Hanks as a soon-to-be groom whose fidelity is tested at his bachelor party. Kitaen played the role of his fiancée.
Since Bachelor Party, Tawny Kitaen has gone on to feature in other movies such as Witchboard, Dead Tides, Crystal Heart, Instant Justice, Happy Hour etc. Additionally, she also hosted ABC’s America’s Funniest People between 1992 and 1994.
Tawny Kitaen also had a successful career as a video-vixen in the ’80s. She appeared in several music videos for the rock band, Whitesnake. They include the music video for the songs ‘Still of the Night’, ‘Is This Love’, ‘The Deeper The Love’ and ‘Here I Go Again’. At the time of the divorce, there were allegations that the actress was physically abusive towards her husband. Their union nevertheless produced two daughters: Wynter Finley (b. 18th of May, 1993) and Raine Finley (b. in 1st of June 1998). Kitaen proudly shows off her daughters on her social media accounts. As earlier stated, since the dawn of the new millennium, Kitaen’s movie appearances have been few and far between. She has largely stayed away from the spotlight except for some appearances on reality TV.
In 2006, she featured in the VH1 series, The Surreal Life. The show brought together people, who had once been famous, to live under the same roof.
Two years later in 2008, Kitaen also featured in another VH1 show, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. She had previously had some problems with drug use and was once charged with cocaine possession. The show chronicled her treatment program.
August 2017 saw Kitaen appearing on the E! plastic surgery correction show, Botched. She asked doctors to remove her breast implants completely. Tawny Kitaen has reportedly been leaving a happy life after the implants were removed and has been encouraging younger women not to do breast implants.
