Timothee Chalamet whose full name is Timothée Hal Chalamet was born on December 27, 1995, in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. He is a Hollywood actor.
In preparation to be the man he is today, Timothee had his elementary education at PS 87 William T. Sherman School before he did the selective Delta program at MS 54 Booker T. Washington Middle School. He was later accepted into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and there, he fell in love with acting, throwing away his childhood dream of becoming a professional soccer player.
Upon his graduation from high school in 2013, Timothee Chalamet enrolled at Columbia University for a year, majoring in cultural anthropology, but eventually transferred to New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study to pursue an acting career.
Before his encounter with fame, the talented actor featured in several advertorials as a child and acted in two horror short films before making his television debut on an episode of the series, Law & Order (2009), acting the role of a murder victim. Timothee Chalamet became a star in his own right for his role as Private Philippe DeJardin in a 2017 American Western film, Hostiles and also for his supporting roles in the film Lady Bird which was a huge critical and commercial success. His role as Kyle Scheible was greatly applauded for his outstanding performance however, he got his major breakthrough in the industry after he played the character of Elio Perlman in Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me by Your Name. Timothee Chalamet is the son of Nicole Flender (mother) and Marc Chalamet (father). His mother, an American former Broadway dancer, also worked as a real estate broker while his father (a French) was an editor for UNICEF. His father and mother are of the Protestant and Jewish religious sect.
Before Timothee made his way into the entertainment industry, some of his extended family members from his mother’s side, were already there, including his mother’s sister, Amy Lippman, a television producer/writer and brother, Rodman Flender, a filmmaker who directed episodes of Suburgatory, Finding Carter, Super Fun Night and Scream. His maternal grandfather, Harold Flender, was also a screenwriter while his maternal grandmother, Enid Flender is a former Broadway dancer.
