Tracey Renee Needham was born on the 28th of March 1967. She hails from a family of six and has three brothers. With regard to her parents, Needham has not disclosed many details about them except the fact that her dad works in the home construction business. Tracey Needham spent her formative years in the cities of Dallas (Texas) and Denver (Colorado). She attended Cherry Creek High School as well as Plano Senior High where she obtained her diploma. Her childhood was marked by a considerable growth spurt. She reached her adult height of 5 feet 11 inches when she was just in the third grade.

As a result of this, she was taller than most of her peers especially the girls. Needham, therefore, found herself hanging out with boys and playing different sports. Her high school drama teacher, however, informed her that she was too tall to be on the stage. As a result of this, she was confined to working as a stagehand. Tracey Needham commenced her professional career in 1988 when she was 21 years old. Her debut role came in the TV series – Jake and the Fatman. The crime drama followed an uptight district attorney (Fatman) and a fun-loving investigator (Jake) as they prosecute different criminals. Needham appeared in one episode of the show in 1988. Since her debut, the actress has gone on to acquire an impressive filmography.
