Early Life

Tracy Spirikados joined the population of the world on the 20th day in the month of February 1988. She is the only girl child parents of her parents George and Anastasia Spirikados. She has two brothers. Her parents co-owned an eating-house.

Despite having the country Canada as her birthplace, Tracy Spiridakos spent her formative years in Skala Greece, her father’s home town. However, in the subsequent years, she relocated back to her birthplace. There, she learned core Greek ethics and also learned the language, thus the actress is bilingual speaking fluently both the English and Greek languages.


Knowing quite early in life that she wanted to pursue a career in acting, Tracy Spiridakos during her time at Oak Park High School was actively involved with the school’s theater department. Upon graduation, she took acting classes at Actors Training Centre, Manitoba.

With over 20 television shows and at least three films credited to her name, Tracy Spiridakos has been fun to watch on the screens. She began acting as a school student and by the time high school days were over, she became totally focused on acting.

As a result, in 2007 she relocated to the city of Vancouver, Canada with high hopes. Tracy landed her first acting gig, barely after a few weeks. Her brief role in Supernatural was well acknowledged and thankfully she scored a couple more roles in 2007 which came in the TV shows; Bionic Woman, and Aliens in America.

Tracy Spiridakos starred in Majority Rules in 2009. It would become her first lead role in a TV series and she appeared in a total of 26 episodes. Also in the same year, she had a small part in the lesbian TV series, The L Word. And then came 2011 when Spiridakos landed her feature film debut role as Party Girl #2 in the science fiction film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Tracy, as of this writing has only appeared in three films, the other two being the lesser-known Kill for Me in 2013 and 2015’s The Byrd and the Bees.

Between 2010 and 2012, Tracy appeared in a string of TV shows, among them; Psych, HellcatsTower Prep, Being Human, as well as TV films; Goblin and Rags.

Her next big role came in Revolution. For her lead role as Charlotte “Charlie” Matheson, she earned a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress on Television.

In recent years, Tracy Spiridakos is best known for her role as Detective Hailey Upton in Chicago P.D. She has reprised the role in both Chicago Med and Chicago Fire.
