Trevor Siemian is a professional American football player and a quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. He is a four year veteran of the NFL, having been drafted in 2015. Trevor John Siemian was born on Boxing Day (26th December) 1991 in Windermere, Orange County, Florida. He had his high school education at Olympia High School in Orange County. In high school, Siemian lettered in both Baseball and football and excelled in both. He played three seasons of high school football and threw for 6,144 yards and 53 touchdowns, setting a county record in the process. Additionally, Siemian was not only a talented sportsman but also excelled in academics. As a high school senior, he made the National Honours Society and received offers from various schools including Harvard University. Trevor Siemian had his college education at Northwestern University where he majored in Communication Studies. He was redshirted in his first year (2010) thus, earning him the fifth year of eligibility for college football. In his second year, he was mostly used as a backup quarterback but still finished with 16-of-26 passes completed for 256 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Siemian saw more playing time the next year (2012) and did not hesitate to show the stuff he was made of. He completed 128-of-218 passes for 1,312 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions and led the school to victory in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl. He continued his impressive improvement for his last two seasons in college and threw a total of 550-of-934 passes (58.9% completion) for 5931 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions.
Going into the 2015 NFL Draft, Trevor Siemian was not really highly rated but luck shined on him as he was picked by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round. In his first season with the Broncos, Siemian did not get much playing time as he was the third-string quarterback but that changed in the next two seasons. In a total of 26 games for the Broncos, he completed 495 of 835 passes (59.3%) for 5686 yards and 30 touchdowns with 24 interceptions. After three seasons with the Broncos, Siemian was traded to the Minnesota Vikings in March 2018.

3. In the 2016 season, Siemian became the first quarterback in NFL history to start a season opener for the defending Super Bowl champion without having ever thrown a pass before in the league. He, however, kept his cool and led his team to a 21-20 victory over the Carolina Panthers.
