Why Are They Called Twice?
The band’s name came from JYP Entertainment’s founder, Park Jinyoung, who announced the advent of the all-girl group. According to Park Jinyoung, the name Twice means an act of double impact – first through the eyes and then through the ears. The name seems to be most appropriate as Twice’s emergence to the realm of the entertainment has been driven by uninterrupted hits with vibrant sound and bright, multi-colored music videos. Some of Twice’s most popular songs include Cheer Up, One More Time, and Dance The Night Away among others.
