the bandito tour is very special to me, including any of you who made it to a show this year. thank you. things get quiet around this time, and i’m reminded why i write so much about the lack of sound. it’s deafening. all of the questions. is what i’m doing any good. this last album, was it good enough. what’s the point. i hate typing them out, which might be why i refuse to grant them their proper punctuation. but then i’m reminded of the show and the people who come. this odd theatrical convention we have landed on as a species, a concert, is somehow healing and protecting, boosting the immune system of the psyche. maybe it’s the ethereal sensation of hearing you all singing in unison, or its the natural warmth of the collective body heat from the pit billowing toward me. whatever it is, i’ve learned it can be harnessed and preserved so that the echoes of its effects can be tapped in to when needed. kneeling down in front of you during the show, i’m collecting. and now as i type this out i’m unpacking, to combat those questions that show up in the quietest of places. feels silly just saying “thank you for coming to the show” so i thought i’d explain it a little. see you at the next one. |-
They have also received several award nominations, winning 2017 Grammy’s Best Pop Duo/Group Performance; this was for their song “Stressed Out”. The song also earned them the Record of the Year nomination just as “Heathens” brought them the Best Rock Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media nominations at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. In 2019, “Jumpsuit” earned them another Grammy nomination. This time it was for Best Rock Song.
“No Phun Intended” Is His Biggest Accomplishment as a Solo Artist
This beginning of Tyler’s musical career has been traced to high school. He grew up in Columbus where he attended the Worthington Christian School and played high school basketball as a point guard. Despite being active in basketball, Tyler Joseph was drawn to music and entertainment.
He once performed the National Anthem at one of his team’s matches alongside Nick Thomas with whom he would later team up to form Twenty One Pilots. Tyler later created Slushieguys in 2007, a YouTube channel where he posted amateur comedy sketches and other short videos that revolve around music.
As time went by, it became obvious to Tyler that music was all that mattered for him, so he decided to devote all his time towards pursuing a full-time career thereof. He rejected an offer to play college basketball at Otterbein University which came with a scholarship to focus on music. He started making songs with an old keyboard he received from his mum as a Christmas gift years back, imitating radio jingles. He later released an album titled No Phun Intended in 2007. It was a self-released project he recorded in his basement.
His $20 Million Net Worth Is a Prove to How Successful His Career Has Been
Joseph’s net worth has been estimated between $10 and $20 million. The exact value of his wealth may not be known but it is clear he is a multi-millionaire and, the major source of his wealth is his music career. As part of Twenty One Pilots, Tyler has recorded significant success in his profession. Among their several releases, Vessel (2013), their first major-label album was their breakthrough as it reached #21 on Billboard Top 200. Containing hit singles like Car Radio, House of Gold, and Holding on to You, the album sold over one million copies in the US as well as received a platinum certification.
Twenty One Pilots’ Blurryface (2015) later became their greatest hit as it topped Billboard’s Top 200 as well as other US music charts including Alternative and Rock. The album sold almost 150,000 copies in a week, hitting #8 in 2016 best-selling album, and receiving RIAA platinum certification thrice.
In addition to albums and songs, Twenty One Pilots’ tours and live concerts have generated significant amounts for Tyler. The prominent ones include the Quiet Is Violent Tour (2014), Blurryface Tour (2015–2016), and The Bandito Tour (2018-2019).
