Ahmed Mansour Karni, a 4-year old child, will be spending the rest of his life in prison following a court ruling in western Cairo on Tuesday. The little boy was convicted in absentia for several charges, including murder.

Ahmed Mansour Karni is a little Egyptian boy whom the Cairo court recently sentenced to a life long imprisonment over alleged murder charges. It is worthy to mention that the crimes that this child is accused of was supposedly committed 2 years ago, so he was just 2 years old when he perpetuated all those alleged hideous crimes – Murder on 4 counts; Attempted murder on 8 counts; Threatening security forces – soldiers & police officers; Destruction of official security vehicles and the national health administration properties.

This is utterly hilarious, confusing and sad at the same time. How in the world can a 2-year old be so powerful and fearless to commit not just one crime but a multiple of them. There have in truth been juvenile accidental discharges, but attaching the ‘criminal’ picture to a 2-year old is super-absurd.

According to reports from The Jerusalem Post, “the court order came less than a year after a blind man in Egypt received a 15-year prison sentence for the shooting of a police officer.”

In defense for this absurdity, reports have it that the name of the little boy had been mistakenly included in the list of wanted persons in Egypt as a result of the 2014 politically-induced riots in Egypt. Thus he, alongside well over 100 persons, are fugitives who are wanted by the Egyptian law for the “disturbance of the peace and damaging state property”. The further the story gets, the funnier it sounds.

Attorney, Faisal al-Saud had presented the boy’s certificate but for some weird reason, it was not taken into consideration, suggesting that the current judge handling the case ‘probably’ did not review the case.

Faisal al-Saud said

The child, Ahmed Mansour Karni’s birth certificate was presented after state security forces added his name to the list of accused, but then the case was transferred to the military court and the child was sentenced in absentia in an ensuing court hearing.

Egyptian citizens have seriously frowned at this legal development, lashing out their opinions against the government via social media. Another pained Egyptian lawyer also registered his disappointment at the height of tyranny and legal blindness in Egypt. He had this to write,

On the eve of injustice and madness in Egypt, a four-year old child was sentenced to life imprisonment. He is accused of disturbance, damage to property and murder. The Egyptian scales of justice are not reversible. There is no justice in Egypt. No reason. Logic committed suicide a while ago. Egypt went crazy. Egypt is ruled by a bunch of lunatics.
