Uriah Shelton was born on the 10th of March 1997 in the city of Dallas, Texas. Because of his last name, there has been speculations and questions raised about whether or not this actor is in any way related to the country singer Blake Shelton. Well, it seems their shared name is just a matter of coincidence as they are in no way related.

Although he was born in Texas, Shelton grew up in Magnolia Springs, Alabama as his family had relocated there when he was only one month old. There isn’t any information about his parents but we do know that they have played a very pivotal role in their son’s career as they have always supported his ambitions and even made active efforts to find opportunities for him to maximize his talent.

Growing up, Uriah Shelton was a multifaceted child with interests in different fields of life. When he was only 7 years old, he was enrolled in a modeling class alongside his cousin, Charli. His performance in the modeling class was so great that he was entered into a talent competition in the state of Orlando. His performance in the competition opened even more doors of opportunities for him as he became sought after by multiple agencies in New York and Los Angeles.

Other interests which Uriah had were in martial arts and soccer as well as music with him learning how to play the piano.

Uriah Shelton’s career began from his features in commercials and his training in martial arts. He received so much training and practice in Tae Kwon Do that led him to become the 2006 Tae Kwon Do California State Champion in all the categories including extreme weapons.

He would later begin his acting career in 2007 when he featured in an episode of the television series Without a Trace, playing the role of Brett Hendricks. That same year, he played the role of Young William in an episode of Ghost Whisperer. In 2008, Shelton starred in his first movie called Lower Learning where he played the role of a prep school kid. He also went on to feature in short roles in some series like the Nanny Express, Ring of Death, and Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, all in 2008.

In 2009, Uriah Shelton played a small role as a security guard in the movie Opposite Day. That same year, he played the role of Brian in two episodes of Little Monk, Nicky Phillips in an episode of the series Monk, Prince Jeffy in an episode of The Suite Life on Deck, Jack McGuire in 3 episodes of the series Trust Me, and Rudy in an episode of Trauma.

In 2010, he played the role of Kin in the movie Alabama Moon and went on to land a major role as Jeff Cargill in the popular TV series, The Glades. Shelton acted in this series from 2011 until 2013. Since 2012, he has played the main role of Josh on the American drama series, Blues. The series focuses on the life of a secret sex worker (played by Julia Stiles) who tries her best to hide her occupation from her son (played by Uriah Shelton). The series was well received and has won 3 International Academy of Web Television Awards (IAWTV) awards.

In 2017, Uriah played the recurring role of Pratters in the popular series 13 Reasons Why. He has further been cast in the 2019 upcoming series, Looking for Alaska.
