Von Miller is an American footballer in the National Football League (NFL) who started his professional career as an outside linebacker for the Denver Broncos. Vonnie B’Vsean Miller Jr. was born in Dallas, Texas on March 26, 1989, he grew up in an athletic family with his younger brother Vinsynzie “Vins”. His parents Gloria and Von Miller were athletes in high school and college before going into power supply business.
Miller became an active athlete at DeSoto High School in Texas, running tracks and playing football for the DeSoto Eagles high school football team. He competed in sports events like triple jump, Javelin throwing, and 110m hurdles but chose to focus on football where he excelled and finished as the No. 15 weakside defensive end in all of the nation in 2007. Upon graduation, he committed to Texas A&M Aggies football team (2007-2010) over four other college offers.
While attending Texas A&M University, Von Miller played as a defensive end for the school’s football team in his freshman year, as well as at weakside linebacker in his sophomore year. He played impressively in his team despite being suspended in the Spring of 2008 for poor performance during practice and skipping classes.
