TNT has been described as the hottest k-pop band in the world and the reason is not farfetched. The five-man ensemble has topped the Billboard emerging artists and world album charts, even without a full-length album. The waving-making group has also dropped several hit singles, and won many accolades, in just one year of existence. Discover more about the boyband here including the full profile of TNT members as well as the reason for the delay of their Comeback album.

Why is their Comeback album delayed?

Following the success of their debut EP, Dream Chapter: Star, TNT went on to perform across various American cities. The group also won several awards and announced that they would release their Comeback album in August 2019. This plan, however, failed to materialize due to a wave of infectious conjunctivitis which afflicted the group.

The first TNT member to contact the disease was group leader, Soobin, in August 2019. The disease subsequently spread to two other members, Taehyun and Huening Kai. This did not come as a surprise given that most k-pop band members all live in close quarters. The conjunctivitis outbreak not only delayed the band’s upcoming album but also stopped them from performing at several scheduled events including the Best K-Music Awards and the Kansai Collection 2019 Autumn and Winter Show. TNT members were also forced to miss the 2019 VMAs where they had received a nomination in the best K-pop category. The boys have now overcome the disease and are focused on their long-awaited album.
