Lilian Esoro, best known for her role as Nurse Abigail in the popular Nigerian television series, Clinic Matters, is a Nigerian actress, television personality, entrepreneur, and humanitarian. She was brought into television acting by comedian Bovi who had her cast in a soap opera titled Extended Family.
The beautiful actress is also a mother of one, and a hardworking entrepreneur with numerous businesses across the country. Esoro, whose career in acting started in her early 20s, is dedicated and committed to everything she does. The 40 Year-Old Actress is From Imo State
Born on 3rd September 1982, the 40 year-old actress belongs to the Igbo ethnic group. Lilian Esoro is from Imo state located in South-Eastern Nigeria. She was born into a monogamous family and is the last among seven children. Her elder brother is Uche Esoro, a building contractor and the CEO of Duchis Dredging & Construction Limited.
Until recently when she announced the death of her mother on her Instagram page, there have been no known information about her parents. Lilian announced the sad news of her mother’s demise with an image of them together. The post came with a caption that read: “Julie Girl. There would have never been a good time for you to go”.
She is a Graduate of the University of Abuja
While she is from Imo state, the actress grew up in Lagos with her parents and siblings. It was here that she received her primary and secondary school education. She then moved on to study Integrated Science at Bida Polytechnic in Niger state where she obtained her diploma.
Esoro subsequently enrolled at the University of Abuja, Gwagwalada, where she furthered her education and acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science.
Lilian Esoro Started Acting at the Age of 23
At the age of 23, a youthful Lilian Esoro ventured into acting, kickstarting a career that will turn her into a popular face in both small and big screen projects. The multi-talented actress first appeared on TV when she played the role of Frieda in comedian Bovi’s TV drama titled Extended Family in 2007. Bovi, whom she regarded as a friend, had persuaded and encouraged her to take the role.

In 2009, Lilian got her breakthrough in acting when she was given the role of Nurse Abigail, a troublesome and gossipy character, in Clinic Matters. The popular TV series was produced and directed by Paul Igwe who was also part of the crew she worked with on the Extended Family project.
For Lilian Esoro, playing troublesome Nurse Abigail in Clinic Matters didn’t land her into more trouble, rather it opened the door to wide-ranging opportunities for her. Since then, she has been able to land many other roles on both the small and big screen.

Lilian Esoro Owns and Operates Several Businesses
Acting alone isn’t what pays the bills for Lilian Esoro, her hard work and dedication have been interpreted in various businesses she owns in and outside Abuja, Nigeria. The actress has over the years established herself as a flourishing, hardworking, and successful entrepreneur.
She is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Goldie Locks hair salon, Abuja. She is also the CEO of LIOCA Group, a multidivisional company that specializes in the sale of beauty products with subsidiaries such as Lioca Spa, Lioca Skin Care, and Abaya by Lioca.
A humanitarian at heart, Lilian also owns an NGO called Lilian Esoro Foundation (LEF). The main objective of the organization is to change the negative narratives of all African women through offering services such as freewill donations to less privileged women of the society. Through the foundation, she has made meaningful impacts across Nigeria, especially in Lagos and Owerri, Imo State.
Moreso, Lilian Esoro is the brand ambassador to several businesses and organizations with whom she signed endorsement deals. Notable amongst some of the deals she signed are with Young Star Foundation, a Pan-African NGO raising and empowering young people. She also has a deal with The House of Lunettes. In 2016, Lilian was the face in Dunes, an Abuja-based luxury mall.
Lilian’s Marriage was Not as Successful as Her Acting Career
Lilian Esoro may have had a successful career in acting, and as an entrepreneur, but the same could not be said about her marriage. In 2015, she got engaged and married her then-lover, Ubi Franklin Ofem, an entrepreneur, public speaker, business coach, and the founder of Made Men Music Group (Triple MG). They had a son together and after being married for a year, the couple got separated and were later divorced in 2021.
Very little information is known on how or where they met, however, the couple affirmed that they met sometime in January 2015. In a separate interview he granted the media, Ubi Franklin had said he told Lilian on the first day he saw her that he was going to get married to her.
Ubi Franklin’s prophesy to Lilian about marrying her eventually came to be as the two got married in a flamboyant manner on the 1st of November 2015. Their wedding was the topic of gossip blogs as high-powered individuals from the entertainment industry attended the ceremony to celebrate with the couples and wish them well.
Lilian Esoro Has a Son From Her Marriage to Ubi Franklin
Everything about Lilian’s marriage to Franklin seemed to be perfect as they shared happy moments of their marital bliss on social media. The marriage was blessed with a baby boy whom Lilian traveled to the United States of America to birth. Although it seemed to be an enviable union, it wasn’t the case for the couple.
A few months after the birth of their son, Jayden, Lilian and Franklin got separated with Lilian having custody of the child. Both Lilian and Franklin’s request for divorce in court were denied, with the Judge of the second suit advising the couple to go and settle their differences.
Lilian and her then estranged husband co-parented their son and cared for him while living apart from each other. Living separately didn’t seem to stop both of them from showering the child with love and care. They often take time to share pictures of them together celebrating his birthday, a move that made followers and fans ignite rumors of the couple coming back together.
Five years after living separately, the disgruntled couple won the battle to officially put an end to their union. The union was dissolved on the 28th of January 2021 by an Abuja high court on the grounds of “unreconcilable differences”.
The Sensational Actress Hasn’t Been in any Relationship Since She Divorced Her Husband
From the period of her separation from her husband back in 2016 to this present day, the actress and businesswoman has on several occasions been rumored to be in relationships with celebrity actors and footballers.
Be that as it may, the sensational actress has not confirmed any of the rumors linking her with anybody.
