Who Is Martin Freeman?

The Sherlock Holmes star was born as Martin John Christopher Freeman to his parents, Geoffrey Freeman and Philomena Norris on 8th of September, 1971 in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. His father was a naval officer while his grandfather, Leonard Freeman was a medic who was murdered a few days prior to Dunkirk evacuation at the start of World War II. On the other hand, his great grandfather, Richard Freeman was blind from birth but wasn’t deterred by his circumstances as he was a piano tuner and organist at St. Andrew’s Church, West Tarring and later a music instructor in Kingdom upon Hull.

Following the separation of his parents when he was a year old, Freeman lived with his father but after his father succumbed to cardiac arrest in 1981, he then joined his mother and stepfather, James.
