Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has revealed the reason she walked away from her baby daddy was because her baby daddy wasn’t ready to get married so she had no option but to call it quits.

“I just decided that what’s best for me is to walk away and still be here and be with my kids and still have the opportunity of being the best mother possible, so yeah, I had to make that decision.
It was really tough, it was really painful; I think that hurt me the most out of anything that I have ever been through in my life, walking away was the hardest thing to do.”
Adunni Adewale or Adunni Ade, as she is fondly called by her fans, is a Nigerian model, brand ambassador, businesswoman, and actress who has featured in several Yoruba and contemporary urban Nigerian films and television shows.
She has recorded so much success in her career and her profile keeps rising. Adunni is from a mixed background, having been the product of the union between a Yoruba man from South-West Nigeria and a mother of German-American descent. She spent her early years in Nigeria before departing for the United States to further her education.

She has given the name of her baby daddy as Michael Boyd (but it needs to be noted that her sons have Young as their listed last names). There is no record/account on how and where they met, but since both of them reside in the state of Kentucky in the United States of America, it would be safe to assume that they probably met while in college in the States (as she schooled at the University of Kentucky) or somewhere and somehow within it.
They dated for about 8 years and in the process, gave birth to two adorable sons – the first was named D’Marion upon his birth on September 26, 2007, and his brother, Ayden, is recorded as being 5 years his junior. Adunni and Michael were never married, but having stayed together for so long in the state of Kentucky – a Commonwealth state, it could easily be assumed that they were married but not officially. She confessed that she thought of committing suicide at some point after her breakup and was ready to go through with it, but the thought that “some other woman” would end up being the mother that her children would grow up to know jolted her out of those thoughts. She thereafter decided to be a single mother and devote her time and resources to raising her children.

After surviving the heartbreak, pain, and suicidal tendencies that she went through following her breakup with Michael, nobody would blame the Yoruba actress if she decides to take it slow and that is exactly what she is doing. Following the end of her popularly known relationship, she took the decision not to easily fall in love again and simply be the best mother she can to her children.
