But where have the Wonder Girls members been since after their dissolution? What have they been individually up to?
Wonder Girls Through The Years
Wonder Girls started as a quintet comprising pioneer members Sunye, Yeeun, Sunmi, Sohee, and Hyuna. The band, however, went through several line-up changes at different points as the years went by. Hyuna who was among the pioneer Wonder Girls members spent only a few months with the group, leaving in July 2007 due to health issues. She was immediately replaced with Yubin who joined the group before the release of their debut studio album.
Later in 2010, Sunmi left Wonder Girls to further her academics. Hyerim replaced her before the group’s release of “2 Different Tears” same year. During the group’s three-year hiatus (2012-2015), Sohee and Sunye left while Sunmi returned. In all, Wonder Girls has had seven members including Sunye, Hyuna, Sohee, Yubin, Yeeun, Hyerim, and Sunmi. Meanwhile, its last surviving members before disbandment were Yubin, Yeeun, Hyerim, and Sunmi. Here’s what each of the former Wonder Girls members are doing now.

Unlike other Wonder Girls members, Yubin renewed her contract with JYP and started working as a solo artist later in 2017. In 2018, she released City Woman (a single album) and #TUSM (an EP) with lead singles “Lady” and “Thank U Soooo Much” respectively. Following this, Sunmi continued her solo career which she had earlier debuted in 2013 after completing her academic studies. She later signed a contract with MakeUs Entertainment in 2017. Sunmi has since dished out two successful albums Full Moon (2014) and Warning (2018), with high charting singles such as “24 Hours“, “Full Moon“, “Gashina“, “Heroine“, and “Siren.” She also furthers her studies in Music Theater at Dongkuk University.

Unlike her bandmates, Hyerim is more concerned with furthering her studies than a solo music career. Following her group’s breakup, she went back to school, studying translation at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. She, however, renewed her deal with JYP just like Yubin, giving fans high hopes of a possible comeback to music.
