Dee began her battle with cancer in 2012. She had breast cancer (stage one) and was treated successfully. While the family rejoiced, thinking the worst was behind them, Dee was again diagnosed with cancer on her lymph nodes in 2015.
Her husband, who has had more than his fair share of deaths in his family, has described Dee as an inspiration. After losing his sister to cancer, he now has to watch his mother and wife fight the same deadly disease. He has revealed that to some people, Dee might appear as a ticking bomb waiting to explode as she is currently on stage-four cancer. But her energy and vibrancy are infectious even in her bad ways. They have found a way to cope with all of these as a family, and he has been able to draw strength from making jokes out of serious life issues.

Do Dee and Jack Breuer Have Kids?
The couple has three daughters. They welcomed their first daughter Gabrielle in 1999. Their second daughter- Kelsey, was born in 2003, and their third – Dorianne, in 2004.
Their daughters have been sheltered and raised away from Hollywood and media scrutiny, their father shared that once they started a family, he walked away from that world which might have hurt his career, but he didn’t want his children raised in that world as his family is more important than anything else to him.
He has also given an insight into their personalities. While their first and last daughters are opinionated and almost painfully politically correct, their second daughter is the peacemaker and the hilarious one. She also does characters and imitations well.
While having teenage daughters has earned Jim “the cool dad” title, it has also provided him with a wealth of material for his comedy shows.
