Faith Oyedepo is married to the renowned Nigerian minister of the Gospel, Bishop David Oyedepo. The pair met while she was still a student at the University of Ife and her husband still a Kwara polytechnic undergrad. Their paths crossed at a motor park in 1976, and their relationship started around that same time – Pastor Faith was 18 at the time. It was in the course of their courtship that Bishop Oyedepo received the mandate for Living Faith Church worldwide. The intense nature of the mandate caused Bishop David to vow before God that he would carry out the vision even at the cost of his life. He went further to document this vow and outlined the processes and challenges involved to Mama Faith. He also told her that he was willing to see it through and invited her to go on the journey with him. She agreed and proceeded to sign the document with the vow on it. The dynamics of their relationship changed after that day as they both became consumed by a desire to change the world through the preaching of the word of faith.

Their relationship continued for 6 years and they eventually got married in 1982 when Mama was 24 years old. Their union has lasted for 39 years and according to the power couple, the secret to their lasting marriage has been love, laughter, understanding, a commitment to each other, and a commitment to raising godly seeds.

Unlike most marriages, Christian or otherwise, this union has been devoid of controversy or unwanted scandal leading the couple to be considered as one of the foremost authorities in the institution of marriage. Their teachings and active modeling of what a peaceful and successful marriage should be like have helped to create stable marriage environments for most homes.
