Pastrana and Hawkins got married four months later, precisely on the 29th of October, 2011. He, therefore, started trying out action activities including jumping and flipping from the very tender age of three or four.

In 2003, Travis Pastrana alongside some of his motorsport colleagues created an action sports series called Nitro Circus which airs on MTV. The live tour documentary covers a wide range of extreme sports such as dirtbike riding, base jumping, stunts, and much more. Nitro Circus has over time, metamorphosed into a media company, taking on a variety of activities, including the production of TV programming, documentaries, and the now-famous Nitro Circus Live tours. In 2016, the company introduced an action sports competition called the Nitro World Game.
