If the app seems cumbersome, you can also use the simple, no smartphone required method of dialling a USSD shortcode. To check your MTN Nigeria number via USSD shortcode,
- simply dial *123#. It will take you to a menu that includes account info, XtraTime, Data Services and more.
- Enter 1 for Account Info
- You will get another list of options. Enter 1 again for My Number.
- Your number will be displayed onscreen
