Maseno University Courses and School Fees Structure

Maseno University is one of Kenya’s public universities situated in the Maseno district of Kisumu. Since it was pronounced a fully-fledged university in 2001 after a decade-long existence as a constituent college under Moi University, the number of programmes at the citadel of learning has increased. Presently, it has a total of 12 schools with a plethora of diplomas, degrees, and certificates. Maseno University is also credited as the first higher institution in the whole of the East African county of Kenya to launch an eCampus – a virtual campus running flexible online programs for on-campus and off-campus students.

The fees payable at Maseno University vary depending on several factors such as programme (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral), course of study, the level (first year or continuing student), nationality (Kenyan or foreign student), and the likes. While entry-level students are required to pay some additional fees to take care of registration, continuing students have no such commitments. Again, Kenyan nationals pay far lesser than the international students schooling in the country are expected to pay, and fees for the lower programmes like diplomas and certificates are not the same as those for masters and Ph.D. All these fees are payable at designated banks which are listed herewith.
