Established in 1979, the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) is situated in Nakuru County of the former Rift Valley Province in Kenya. The higher institution lies along Nakuru – Njoro Road, 10 Kilometres west of Nakuru town. Since it was pronounced a fully-fledged Technical Institute, RVIST has been doing excellently well in the establishment of departments and presently, it boasts a total of nine departments.
