When the talk is about the prestigious universities in the West African country of Ghana, then, the University Of Ghana (UG) Legon does not just deserve a mention, but this institution of higher learning sits at the top of the ladder as Ghana’s premier University. Founded by the British in 1948, this citadel of learning is the largest among the country’s national public universities. It offers a plethora of courses under different programmes and only candidates who met the admission requirements will be enrolled in these programmes.
The number one criteria for enrollment is making the university’s cut-off point which is rolled out every academic year to guide interested applicants. For this piece, we are going to x-ray the cut-off points for enrolment into the University Of Ghana (UG) Legon as well as the courses on offer.
UG Legon Cut Off Points For the Current Year’s Admissions
Every academic year, the University Of Ghana (UG) Legon releases its admission cut-off points which serve as a guide to students who wish to enroll in different courses in the University. For the current year, the university has rolled out its cut-off points and as usual, all the courses on offer have their different marks that must be attained before a candidate will be considered for admission.
Important to note that the cut-off points for courses at the University of Ghana are never the same every year. They will always vary depending on several variables and will determine who gets admitted into UG and the courses they will be offered. There are also variations in the cut-off aggregate for male and female applicants, thanks to UG’s Policy for Gender Affirmative Action that serves as an encouragement to the females.
Qualified applicants that couldn’t meet the cut-off points (as set by the UG management) for their preferred programmes may have no choice but to consider the Fee-paying Scheme. If you are interested, be sure to indicate it on your application form. Below is a comprehensive list of the University Of Ghana (UG) Legon cut-off points and they are merely for guidance purpose
