What To Know About Lyta’s Net Worth and His Rise To Prominence

Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim, who is better known by his stage name Lyta, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who has an estimated net worth of $100,000.

Lyta is a fast-rising Nigerian singer and songwriter. The youngster initially came into the spotlight back in 2018 when he became part of Olamide’s YBNL Nation, but his stay with them was just for a little over a year. Lyta is with the Marlian record label under Naira Marley’s tutelage, and he seems to be doing pretty well as he has released several hit songs that account for his net worth that currently stands at $ 100,000.

Lyta’s Net Worth Comes Majorly From His Music Career

It’s remarkable that within just a couple of years on the Nigerian music scene, singer and songwriter Lyta has made a name for himself while raking in good money from his music career. The youngster now believes that his identity stands for good music and is usually seen on his social media platforms, assuring his fans of delivering nothing other than great tracks. Although getting to the top has not been an easy journey for the star artist, with age and good fortune on his side, Lyta has fulfilled his dreams of making it big as a singer.

His start as a singer can actually be traced back to his days as a teenage boy of about 13 years. At the time, he had picked interest in music and would often scribble down lines any chance he gets. His decision to pursue a music career was further triggered by one of his classmates back in high school who was an earnest songwriter and inspired Lyta to be one too. He first tilted towards a religious angle by joining a Muslim band named Ile-Kwe in his neighborhood and making music with them.

Although there was no mention of Lyta making money during his early career days, the singer’s effort at the time was not a waste because it harnessed his skill. He honed his musical skills with the local band, and not too long after that; he began to perform at musical concerts. During one of such concerts, his paths crossed with Olamide who was thrilled by his rap skills after the pair engaged in a freestyle rap challenge. As expected, Olamide picked interest in Lyta and that was when he began to get good money for his music.

He Landed A Contract With YBNL That Was Shortlived

By February 3rd, 2018, word was out that Lyta was now the new signee to Olamide’s label, YBNL. About a week later, the budding star stole the limelight with the release of the song ‘Time’ on February 15th, 2018, in which he featured Olamide. The rising star would go on to release other singles like: ‘Self-Made’ and ‘Do You’, which had an excellent reception among his fans.

On May 24th, 2019, the sudden news of Lyta’s exit from YBNL started making rounds on the internet and its possibility became glaring when Olamide unfollowed Lyta on Instagram. There were also talks that Lyta never signed an official contract with YBNL and that he was paid between N50,000 to N80,000 for his performances with the label. However, according to the YBNL boss, Lyta did not agree with the label’s operation scheme to concentrate on promoting Fireboy’s songs in 2019 since they had worked on Lyta’s music in 2018. More so, Lyta had mentioned that another record label wanted to sign him, but Olamide did not believe that. The pair eventually parted ways in early 2019.
