Danny Koker is popular as the star of the History Channel reality TV series, Counting Cars. Prior to him appearing on the show, the TV personality was a musician who had embarked on a number of national tours with his rock group, Count’s 77. He and his group have released quite a number of songs and continue to make appearances at events to date.
But as earlier stated, his fame came about as a result of his enthusiasm for cars. Danny is a self-taught mechanic who owns the automobile restoration and customization company, Count’s Kustoms, where activities are documented for the reality show. Danny’s love and knowledge for restoring vehicles does not come as a surprise as he spent most of his early days in mechanic workshops with his family who were all in that line of business.
Danny Koker was Raised in a Family of Automobile Enthusiasts
Danny Koker was born Daniel Nicholas Koker II on 5th January 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his parents; Mary Koker and Daniel Koker Sr. He has a sister named Kim with whom he was raised.
During the early years of his life, Danny was surrounded by family members, most notably his father, who worked for the popular Ford Motor Company. His father was said to have gotten him a cruiser when he turned 9, so it is, therefore, no surprise that he developed a flair for automobiles at an early age.
As he became older, Danny Koker went on to master the nitty-gritty of the automobile industry. He soon began fixing cars and motorcycles as a hobby but later decided to make a career out of it. More so, his family bought a television channel called Channel 33 when they moved down to Las Vegas and Danny started to appear on it as Count Cool Rider. He further served as the host of a show called Saturday Fright At The Movies which got him a lot of recognition. He leveraged on this fame to set up Count’s Kustoms, an automobile shop that restores and customizes cars.
How His Counting Cars Show Came About
With a reputation for doing an absolutely good job on all the vehicles he works on, Count’s Kustoms became popular and drew more attention to Danny Koker. He then began making appearances as an expert on reality TV series such as History Channel’s Pawn Stars and American Restoration.
After 15 years of running his restoration and customization business, in August 2012, Danny launched his very own TV show called Counting Cars. The show chronicles the daily activities at his shop; how he and his team fix and refurbish cars. Being an expert in car refurbishing, Danny recorded huge success with the release of Counting Cars which is as of 2020 in its 9th season.

Danny Koker’s Time as a Musician and His Other Business Interests
It is worthy to note that Danny Koker’s father, Daniel Koker Sr., was also a talented musician who worked alongside big industry names such as the Foggy River Boys, The Cathedral Quartet, Oakridge Boys, CL Franklin, Mahalia Jackson and many more. His son apparently followed in the same footsteps and began performing before audiences on-stage from a tender age.
Later on, Danny was part of the Count’s 77 band which had other musicians that included guitarist Jony Zito, guitarist Stoney Curtis, bassist Barry Barnes, and keyboardist Tommy Paris. The band released its self-titled debut album in August 2014 under the label, Shrapnel Records.
Being the band’s lead singer, Danny gained more popularity after their first album and tour across the USA. The band released another album titled Soul Transfusion in March 2017 and remains active to date as they often perform at Koker’s Las Vegas rock club, Count’s Vamp’d Rock Bar and Grill. More so, the automobile refurbisher also owns a tattoo parlor called Count’s Tattoo Company which is also located in Las Vegas.
Danny Koker Has Been Married For More Than a Decade
Danny Koker is married to Korie Koker, his success pillar and business partner of over 15 years and counting. However, Danny loves to keep details of his family life under wraps, so not much is known about how he met his wife or the exact date they got married.
Nevertheless, it has been gathered that his wife is a woman with a rock star’s style, which accounts for why the pair are tightly knitted as they share a similar interest in rock music. Korie also serves at the co-owner of Danny’s restaurant, Count’s Vamp’d Rock Bar and Grill. More so, as the manager who schedules live music performances, Korie is the talent buyer for the business.
With the success Danny’s investments have recorded, it is proof that the couple are both great lovers as well as business partners. According to Korie, her husband trusts her judgments most of the time so he generally just backs her up. This allows her to make important business decisions without so much hassle.
While it is uncertain if the couple has any kids together as they have not been seen with any or linked with any child over the years, they continue to bask in their strong bond. The TV star and his wife are occasionally seen attending events together but they hardly speak in public about their marriage.
They Do Not Allow Cameras in Their Home
To further drive home the point that his personal life is off-limits to the public, Danny Koker banned cameras from his home. However, viewers of his show only get to have a peak of his home when the crew is filming his show. He revealed in an interview back in 2013 that his stance for keeping his business away from his personal life makes the show professional.
The TV Personality Has Raked in Millions Over The Years
As of 2020, Danny Koker is estimated to have a net worth of a whopping $15 million. A good chunk of the television personality’s wealth comes from his car restoration company and his appearances on various reality TV shows. More so, as a businessman, he has a number of investments like his restaurant and tattoo parlor which have contributed to his earnings.
