The couple have gone on to expand their family as they are blessed with three daughters. Their first child Foster was born on June 16, 2013 while Payton, their second child, arrived on the 10th of March, 2016. The couple’s third child joined the clan in 2018. Barinholtz announced her arrival at the premiere of his 2018 comedy film, The Oaths. Hanson is a TV producer who is known for the work she has done on shows such as DC Cupcakes, Undercover Boss, and Breaking Boston. However, her career goes as far back as 1990 when she was a freelance producer and worked on developing a variety of creatives such as documentaries, daily magazine shows, and docu-reality shows.
In this period, Hanson worked on American Inventor, Behind the Music, The Swan, and The Apprentice: Martha Stwart. As a freelance producer, she had the opportunity to work with different production houses such as Fox, VH1, and NBC.
When Erica Hanson was not working as a freelancer, she worked with 44 Blue Production, Railsplitter Pictures, and Renegade 83. Currently, the talented producer works with Eone/Creature Films. She joined this company in March of 2019.
Ike Barinholtz Had to Drop Out of School To Become An Entertainer
Ike Barinholtz had initially wanted to pursue a career in politics but changed his mind along the way. He settled on becoming a comedian after watching a comedy show held at The Vic Theater in Chicago; the other comedians he saw at the show ignited his interest in comedy. As at that time, Barinholtz was a student at Boston University and so he dropped out in a bid to start his career in comedy. He started to take comedy classes before later moving to Los Angeles to start a full-time career in entertainment.
Barinholtz started his professional career in 2001 when he made his acting debut in the horror film, Down. During that time, he was also part of comedy troupes such as Boom Chicago and The Lindbergh Babies. With Boom Chicago, he was able to visit Amsterdam when the troupe toured the Dutch city for two years. One of the notable things he did as a member of Boom Chicago was when he hosted the troupe’s 10th Anniversary show tagged “Worst of Boom Night”.
He Gained Wide Recognition As A Comedian On MADtv
As a member of a troupe, Ike Barinholtz proved that he was good at improv and displayed high-level skills in performing impressions. This endeared him to the producers of MADtv who contacted him to be part of the show which he accepted.
In his first year on this show, Barinholtz worked as a featured performer and by 2003 he was promoted to the position of a repertory performer. His time on the show also saw him do a lot of collaborations with Josh Meyers and subsequently Bobby Lee. It is also known that Ashton Kutcher, Fidel Castro, Jack Osbourne, Javier Bardem, and Vin Diesel are some of the many celebrities who he did spot-on impressions of.
In the fifth year of his show, Ike Barinholtz was offered the opportunity to renew his contract but he chose to leave the show, making his exit from MADtv in 2007. However, it is evident that his five-year stay on the show saw him become a seasoned comedian and actor.

As mentioned earlier, Barinholtz made his acting debut in the 2001 film, Down. Since then he has appeared in a number of films, including Love, Fear, and Rabbits, and Twisted Fortune. Disaster Movie, Rita Rocks, Eastbound & Down feature him in some of his earliest appearances.
As his career progressed, he has been able to appear in other films such as Suicide Squad, Late Night, The Oath, The Hunt, and the upcoming 2021 movie, Moxie. More so, he can be seen in TV series like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Twilight Zone. Ike is expected to make an appearance in the ongoing American comedy-mystery, Mapleworth Murders.
Ike Barinholtz’s Work as a Writer
The work Ike Barinholtz did on the television show, Eastbound & Down, gained the attention of Mindy Kaling, a writer and producer who tweeted her admiration of his character on the show. Barinholtz responded to her tweet and the two found a way to connect in real life, where she asked him to become a writer for the show she was creating titled The Mindy Project.
Mindy Kaling liked Barinholtz enough to create a role for him on the show and so he eventually became a writer as well as an actor on The Mindy Project. After serving in this position for a while, Ike was promoted to the position of executive story editor. He went on to work on The Mindy Project for the 5 years that it aired.

Ike Barinholtz’s career does not end in acting, comedy or writing as he has found a way to also become a producer. The first time the Chicago native worked as a producer was in 2012 when he wrote and produced Megawinner, a movie for television. This was then followed in 2018 by the black comedy film, The Oath, which he directed, wrote, and produced.
