The next year, in 1998, he starred in a second minor role in The Bill, another TV series. It was after he finished high school in 1999 and enrolled at Otterbein College, that he realized he really wanted to act, thus, he quit his course, moving to New York.

After moving to New York, Jonathan Benneth started auditioning for roles and in 2001, he got cast as J.R.
