Kyle Fuller’s Early Life
Kyle Fuller was born on the 16th of February 1992 in the city of Baltimore. He had his high school education at Mount St. Joseph College in Baltimore where he was a multi-sport athlete, focusing on football, sprint as well as long jump. As a high school senior, he was the long jump champion in Woodlawn County and also took part in the Maryland Crab Bowl, an all-star football game featuring the best high school football players in the state of Maryland. Due to his strong performances, Kyle received offers of football scholarships from several colleges but ultimately picked Virginia Tech.
In a four year stint at Virginia Tech (2010–2013), Fuller recorded a total of 173 tackles, out of which 129 was solo, 21 pass deflections, 6 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles. He took part in the 2014 NFL draft and was picked by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the draft. On joining the Chicago Bears, Fuller made an immediate impact as he intercepted three passes and forced two fumbles in his first three games for the team. Kyle Fuller comes from a family of six which includes his dad, Vincent Fuller Sr. and mom, Nina Dorsey-Fuller. Fuller Sr. is a certified public accountant and worked as a teacher and track coach for over 15 years while Nina works in the IT department of UPS. Fuller has two elder brothers, Vincent Fuller Jr. and Corey Fuller as well as a younger brother, Kendall Fuller.
The fuller family can rightly be dubbed as an NFL family as Kyle and all of his brothers have gone on to become professional football players. The Fullers hold the record as the second-ever family to have four brothers in the NFL. The first is the Browner family comprising of brothers Jim, Joey, Keith and Ross. Vincent Fuller Jr., who is the son of Vincent Fuller Sr. from an earlier marriage, was the first Fuller brother to play in the NFL. He was a safety and played for various teams including the Tennessee Titans, Detroit Lions, and New England Patriots. He spent a total of seven years in the NFL and retired in 2011. Corey Fuller is the second Fuller brother to join the NFL and the only one to play in the offensive position. He is a wide receiver and was drafted in 2013. He has played for teams such as the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints. Kendall Fuller is a highly rated cornerback who was drafted in 2016 by the Washington Redskins. He currently plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Unsurprisingly, the brothers credit their dad and each other with instilling and nurturing the competitive spirit which has driven them to achieve their dreams.
