Who Is Sean Spicer?
He was born on September 23, 1971, in Barrington, Rhode Island. Sean Spicer happens to be the son of Kathryn (née Grossman) and Michael William Spicer of blessed memory. At the time of his birth, his parents lived in Port Washington and he was born at the North Shore Hospital in Manhasset, New York. For the most part of his formative years, he grew up in the East Bay area of Rhode Island. There, his father worked as an insurance agent while his mother is the department manager in the East Asian studies department at Brown University.
Theirs was a strict Catholic household, so, it is no surprise that he attended Portsmouth Abbey School from 1985 to 1989. It happens to be a Roman Catholic boarding school situated in Rhode Island. Career
After setting all the precedents, it is no surprise that he went on to pursue a career in politics. But, before he really got there, he joined the Navy Reserves in 1999. Currently, he still holds the rank of a Commander. Thereafter, he was engaged in pure politics through and through. In 2004, Sean Spicer was the Communications Director and Spokesperson for the House Budget Committee. He then went on to become the assistant U.S Trade Representative for Media and Public Affairs under the Bush administration. His Tenure as the Communications Director and Chief Strategist for the Republican National Committee officially began in 2011.
As it is already widely known, he had a brief stint as the White House director of Communications from January to March 2017. Sean Spicer also resigned from his post as the US Press Secretary on July 21, 2017.
Personal Life
Despite all his achievements and feats, he does have time for a personal life. He tied the knot with his wife Rebecca Miller on November 13, 2004. The ceremony was held at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. The two live together in Alexandria, Virginia, along with their two children who have been kept out of the public eye. Sean Spicer’s wife is accomplished in her own right, she was a television producer at the time of their marriage. She is currently senior vice president, communication and public affairs for the National Beer Wholesalers Association.
