Michelle Obama’s speech – “It has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn’t have predicted…”
Those were the powerful words of the United States First lady, Michelle Obama.
The remark, amongst many other powerful ones, was in response to the leaked video of the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
Donald Trump was caught on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women. The video went viral and registered a great deal of disapproval from both democrats and republicans alike.
Condemning Donald Trump’s words and implied actions in the video, Obama says that the described act in the video is totally disqualifying for any job; how much more the most powerful job in the world.
Sadly for Trump, the video had landed him a couple of withdrawn endorsements from his Republican comrades – John McCain and Paul Ryan.
Still finding it difficult to digest, Michelle Obama’s speech blatantly condemned Trump’s personality with regards to his relations with women. In an impassioned speech, with her voice shaking, she assured Americans that Trump is a no-no for the oval office.
“And I can’t believe I’m saying that—a candidate for president of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women. And I have to tell you that I can’t stop thinking about this. It has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn’t have predicted.”
“This was a powerful individual speaking openly and freely about sexually predatory behavior and actually bragging about kissing and groping women, using language that was so obscene.”
“This is disgraceful. It is intolerable, and it doesn’t matter what party you belong to: Democrat, Republican, independent. No woman deserves to be treated this way.”
“And I know it’s a campaign, but this isn’t about politics. It’s about basic human decency. It’s about right and wrong.”
Concluding the fiery and emotional speech with the motto: When they go low, we go high, Michelle reminded the people that Hillary Clinton is without a doubt the best and most qualified candidate to become President of the United States.
