By Forbes 2016 ranking, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote is still the richest. It was found that he is still so rich the his net worth is still higher than those of the above mentioned world billionaires put together. It was also derived that he was richer than all Nigerian billionaires in the list put together. Dangote is currently the 51st richest person in the world at $15.4 billion.

With the evident decline in his net worth from 2015 till now, he still towers pretty high. Imagine what the margin would have been if the story was the other way round. That not withstanding the multi-dollar-billionaire is still the richest back person alive at the moment.

Let’s do the maths- Russian investor billionaire, Abramovich is ranked at 151st position in the world richest list. He has an estimated net worth of $7. 6 billion. Talk show diva is the 569th world richest at $3 billion and American Republican Presidential candidate, Donald Trump, at the 324th position with a $4.5 billion net worth. Putting them all together, Aliko Dangote is still richer by $1.29 billion. He is equally richer than all Nigerian billionaires on Forbes list by a $2.25 margin.


In all, most billionaires witnessed a decline in their 2016 net worth than they did last year. Even the world richest, Bill Gates went down by a $4.2 billion margin. Same was the case with other billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg, Amancio Ortega, Carlos Slim, Warren Buffets and some others.
