Amy Duncan filed for divorce from her superstar husband in March 2013. She claimed that the marriage had become insupportable and that there were no reasonable expectations of reconciliation. Her husband counter-filed and asked the court to honor their existing pre-nuptial agreement as well as confirm that he owns property which is separate from their marital property.

The divorce proceedings led to the swirling of several rumors; some sources stated that Amy was cheating on her husband with a San Antonio-based personal trainer named Gilbert R. Urbano Jr. They also speculated that the media personality used her husband’s money to set up a gym for her lover. On the other hand, some sources stated that she was seeking divorce because her husband was bi-sexual. The basketball player reportedly lived with a man throughout his four years of college. The unidentified man was also said to have lived with the couple during the first two years of their marriage. The couple’s divorce was finalized in a secret hearing held in August 2013.

Amy Duncan was previously married to Tim Duncan the NBA great who was born on the 25th of April 1976 in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. His father’s name is William while his mother’s name is Ione. The star basketballer also has three siblings namely Cheryl, Tricia, and Scott. Tim Duncan spent his formative years in Saint Croix and attended St Dunstan’s Episcopal High School. He was initially an avid swimmer and even dreamt of going to the Olympics but was compelled to change sports after Hurricane Hugo destroyed the only Olympic-sized pool on the island in 1989.

Tim Duncan first played four years of outstanding college basketball at Wake Forest University before being drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in 1997.
