Brooke Burns started out in the entertainment industry very early in life. For 12 years during her childhood, she was a ballerina, hoping to build a dancing career in the future but an injury ended that part of her dreams. Afterward, she joined the modeling industry at age 15, and today, that little girl is not only a fashion model but has also grown into one of Hollywood’s best actresses, as well as a TV personality.

Brooke Burns, born on March 16, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, was given the middle name Elizabeth at birth. One of Brad and Betsy Burns’s three daughters, the actress practiced ballet as a child but stopped after getting involved in a skiing accident which resulted in a tear on her anterior cruciate ligament.

She eventually turned to model and acting and at the age of 16, she moved to Europe alongside her family, subsequently residing in Paris, Milan, and Munich. The actress studied at Sahuaro High School and Palo Verde High School before moving on to study Broadcast Journalism in the university.

Brooke began her professional acting career on the television at the age of 17, playing the role of Peg, a supporting character in the sitcom Out of the Blue which ran from 1995–1996. She featured in all episodes of the show and gained a little amount of infamy.

Nevertheless, Brooke Burns later got her big break in 1998 when she was cast in the action drama series Baywatch as the character Jessie Owens. She also starred alongside other actors, as the same character in the second rendition of the series titled Baywatch: Hawaii but later left the show after she became pregnant with her first child.

After her maternity break, Brooke Burns continued her television career, making guest appearances in several shows, one of which is the sitcom Just Shoot Me! which aired on NBC. She also played a major role from 2004 to 2005 in North Shore, an American soap opera, featuring in all the episodes as the character of Nicole Booth.

From 2006 to 2008, Brooke Burns took part in a number of television films and series including Modern Men Angelica, Pepper Dennis, Trophy Wife, Time and Again, Trial by Fire, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and Miss Guided.

In 2009, the actress portrayed the character of Shannon Barnes in the TV film, Mistresses, and guest starred in the “Chip/Tuck” episode of CSI: Miami. She also appeared as Christy Tabolt in an episode of Drop Dead Diva and as Vanessa Mancini in the first 12 episodes of Melrose Place.

Among other television works she has done are Borderline Murder (2011), A Sister’s Revenge (2013), Gourmet Detective and Gourmet Detective: A Healthy Place to Die (both in 2015), Gourmet Detective: Death Al Dente (2016) Eat, Drink and Be Buried: A Gourmet Detective Mystery (2017) and Christmas Connection (2017).

As a television personality, Brooke Burns hosted all 26 episodes of NBC’S game show Dog Eat Dog from 2002 to 2003 and 18 episodes of Hole in the Wall, which aired on Fox. The beautiful lady also served as the host of the popular quiz show, The Chase and while the show earned a nomination at the 41st Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show, the host herself was nominated for Outstanding Game Show Host. Brooke also hosted 10 episodes of Motor City Masters in 2014.

Apart from television, Brooke Burns also acted in films but she was not as successful as she was in her television career. She appeared in movies such as Shallow Hal (2001), The Salon (2005), Urban Decay (2007), Titanic II (2010) and Where Hope Grows (2015).

She has a Daughter

The television actress is the mother of two beautiful daughters named Madison Elizabeth McMahon and Declan Welles. The girls were both fathered by different men as their mom has been married twice.

Brooke married her first husband, Julian McMahon, also an actor, as well as the son of Australia’s former Prime Minister Sir William McMahon, in 1999. However, by 2001 their union was officially over. The marriage produced Brooke Burns first daughter, Madison, who was born in June 2000.

Having found love again, Brooke tied the knot a second time to Gavin O’Connor, a movie director, on June 22, 2013. The couple was blessed with a daughter, Declan on January 22, 2017.
