It increased to 9.9 points and 7.7 rebounds in all 37 appearances in his sophomore year. He got better and better and in 2012, he was able to surpass the legendary basketballer Johnny Green as the second all-time rebounding leader. It was after his senior year in 2012 that the ‘Golden State Warriors’ got hold of him. He was signed on a three-year, $2.6 million contract with the team. With his fast and furious prowess, there was no way he would remain on that financial status. In the summer of 2015, Green won a prestigious championship for the team – the Warriors’ first NBA title in 40 years, sealing a five-year, $82 million contract extension with them.
