Emeraude Toubia is the actress who plays the fierce and energetic Isabelle Lightwood who has quick moves and dexterity with the whip on the Freeform fantasy series, Shadowhunters. Emeraude Toubia was born on March 1st, 1989, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada but grew up south of the Canadian border in Brownsville, Texas, United States. She was born an only child to a Mexican mother, Mirta Sonia, and a Lebanese-American father whose name is not public knowledge.

Emeraude Toubia got her big break in 2015 when she appeared in the action drama film, Tattooed Love, portraying Esmeralda.
