Born on the 31st of March 1985 in the Wisconsin town of Menomonee Falls, Jessica Karen Szohr is an early riser who began exploring the thrills of stardom from when she still very little. As a matter of fact, the actress kick-started her journey to superstardom before she reached the age of 10. Reports show that she actually began to model when she was just 6 years old.
Jessica Szohr would go on to appear in print ads for different companies. By the time she was 10 years old, she had her first national campaign for Quaker Oats Company, an American food conglomerate in Chicago. She went on to model for other companies like Kohl, Mountain Dew, Sears, Crate & Barrel, and Quaker Oats, and others.
After graduating from Menomonee Falls High School, Jessica Szohr and her mom relocated to Los Angeles when she was 17 years old. This move was to enable Jessica to focus on her acting career.
The Early Years In Hollywood
After moving to Los Angeles, Jessica Szohr’s agent talked her into trying pilot season auditions. Eventually, her hard work and dedication paid off and, in 2003, she landed her first role as an actress in an episode of the ABC sitcom, My Wife and Kids. Jessica was thrilled. That same year, she scored her first feature film role, appearing in Uncle Nino.

Finally, A Breakthrough!
Jessica Szohr did not get her well-deserved breakthrough in Hollywood until years later in 2007. First, she landed a regular role as Laura in the ABC drama-comedy, What About Brian.
It was after playing her role in What About Brian that she scored her most popular role yet; Vanessa Abrams, in the popular series Gossip Girl.
The hit series which focused on the lives of a bunch of privileged youths proved popular among teens and young adults and quickly became a favourite among TV audiences.
Gossip Girl received numerous award nods and won 18 teen choice awards, thanks to the strong performance of Szohr and her castmates. In 2008, The New York Magazine declared it ‘the greatest teen drama of all time’.
As expected, Jessica Szohr was catapulted into widespread recognition, gaining loads of fans who now follow her every move on social media. Although her portrayal of Vanessa Abrams was criticized by the writer of the Gossip Girl novels, Cecily von Ziegesar, many fans of the show were rather pleased with her work in the series.
Other Roles That Followed
Having gotten her big break in Gossip Girl, Szohr began to get invitations to star in other big projects. In 2009, she starred in Piranha 3D which was released in 2010. She did so well in the movie that she won the Breakthrough Actress in Film award at the 2010 Breakthrough of the Year Awards for her effort.
She went on to star in the 2011 romantic comedy, Love, Wedding, Marriage before clinching the role of Nessa in Shameless, a comedy-drama TV series. In 2014, she starred in 10 Cent Pistol, an American crime thriller film in which she portrayed Chelsea.
The actress has now been cast as a regular in The Orville, an American science fiction comedy-drama.

Jessica Szohr has had quite an interesting love life. Over the years, she has been linked to different men and has actually been confirmed to have dated some of them.
