While Myrna Colley-Lee is best recognized as the former spouse of the iconic actor Morgan Freeman, she equally has her own profession. Myrna Colley-Lee was born in 1941 in Hamlet, North Carolina. Colley-Lee went all the way to achieve a master’s in scenic and costume design at Temple University located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after bagging a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of North Carolina’s Women’s College. She later joined the entertainment world as a costumier, set designer as well as an art director.
Though not primarily an actress, Myrna Colley-Lee made an appearance in a single episode of the Television show 60 Minutes titled Bridge to Gretna – it portrayed a situation where victims of Hurricane Katrina were stopped from crossing a bridge by armed cops.

While it was the first marriage for Myrna Colley-Lee, Morgan Freeman already had one failed marriage behind him. He is the ex-husband of Jeanette Adair Bradshaw and their marriage lasted for 12 years ending in a 1979 divorce but not before the birth of their only child Morgana.
Myrna and her ex-spouse didn’t have any children together, however, they adopted Freeman’s step-granddaughter E’ Dina Hines whom they trained as their own. But unfortunately, E’ Dina died at the age of 33 after being reportedly stabbed to death in 2015 with her boyfriend as the prime suspect.

Myrna Colley-Lee has been working and earning her own money as a costumier and set decorator but the divorce settlement she got from her marriage to Freeman defines her wealth. In fact, it was listed as the fifth-largest divorce settlement in history; Myrna was initially set to get $170 million but was later able to secure a whopping $400 million from her divorce.
