Australian actress Nathalie Kelley has acted in many films and TV shows but is best recognized for her debut film role in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Kelley is also popular for her roles as Dani Alvarez in ABC series Body of Proof (2011–2012), as Grace in Unreal (2015), as Sybil in The Vampire Diaries (2016-2017), and one of her most recent as the spirited Cristal Carrington in the hit remake of 1980’s classic film, Dynasty (2017-2018). Nathalie Kelley was born in Peru but grew Up in Australia
Nathalie is of a mixed ethnic background. Her father is from Argentina, a South American country while her mother is from Peru, another South American country. Kelley is therefore of Argentine-Peruvian decent. She was born on March 10, 1985, in Lima, Peru. Kelley, however, holds Australian citizenship, having grown up in Sydney, the capital city of New South Wales, Australia.
Her parents left Peru for Australia when she was just two in search of greener pastures. She later spent 18 years of her life (from two to twenty years old) in the country which produced the love of her life.
She Became a Beauty Queen in Her Teens
Growing up in Australia, Nathalie attended the famous North Sydney Girls High School. During her teenage years, she learned Salsa, a Brazilian type of dance. She later participated in and won the Miss Latin America beauty contest when she was 18, earning $1,000 and one year in Brazil as her prize. Kelley had always dreamed of becoming an actress right from her childhood. Although she did not take that path educationally, her dream kept pushing her on. To make her dream come true, she enrolled in summer classes at The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Australia’s leading center for education and training in the performing arts. During her studies, she volunteered with Indigenous Australian youth and became very close to the Aboriginal community in the inner-city suburb of Redfern.
